50 Years with One Company is a Milestone Rarely Achieved by Employees Today!
But it's just Business as Usual for Charlie King.
Lashley Tractor Sales recognizes Charlie King's 50 Years of Loyal Service.
50 years of doing anything is quite a milestone these days, but reaching the 50-year employment mark is something only a very few can say they’ve reached.
When Charlie King started his career in June 1959, he had no idea that he would be working at the same location 50 years later. At the time, the dealership was known as the Ponce de Leon Tractor Company. Later, the company became the Ponce de Leon Ford Tractor Company and in the 1990s, it became known as Lashley Tractor Sales.
Over time, Charlie has seen a lot of changes in the equipment industry. Charlie says, “When I started, farming equipment was dominant in the Atlanta area. Then, in the 60s and 70s, backhoe sales began booming, followed by skid-steer loaders in the 80s and 90s, and now we are seeing a lot of track loaders. The service work, as a result, also followed the same pattern.”
According to the CEO of Lashley Tractor Sales, Jeff Lashley, “Charlie is one of those rare employees who care greatly about the customer and doing the right thing. We at Lashley Tractor Sales could not be prouder of calling Charlie King our employee.”
Charlie King was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He moved later to Clarkston and currently lives with his wife, Mary, in Centerville. They have two children and two grandchildren.
Why to go Charlie!
